4th Grade Animal Project
How is your animal going to survive?
Every animals job is to survive. In order to survive, they need to think about the food the animal eats, the predators that are trying to eat them and the home they live in to keep them safe at night.
What is my job?
Your job is to create a poster, google slides, written report or any other type of approved presentation to display your information.
When creating your presentation, keep in mind that you need to include the following;
-
What does your animal eat?
-
Why do they eat that?
-
Is there certain adaptations the animal has that requires them to eat that type of food?
-
Is the food they eat available in their habitat? How do you know?
-
-
Describe the animals habitat.
-
How does the weather affect the animals life?
-
Does your animal need to build a home to keep safe during the night? Describe the home.
-
If your animal doesn't need to build a home, where will they sleep in their habitat and how will they stay safe?
-
-
Adapting to their environment.
-
What predators does your animal need to watch out for that might be dangerous to them and why?
-
What adaptations did you create for your animal so that they can either blend in with their environment or stay safe from an animal that is trying to harm them?
-
Explain each of the adaptation elements you created for your animal and why? (Why did you make them a certain color, shape, design, body parts, etc.)
-
-
Changing environment
-
What changes may happen in the future that might be harmful to your animal? For example; with the icebergs melting, many polar bears are struggling to survive in the arctic.
-
If your habitat changes, how will your animal adapt?
-
How can we help to preserve your chosen habitat so that the animals have a better chance of survival?
